Canadian Scholar Prof. Edward Topp Visits IHB
Prof. Edward Topp made a presentation at IHB
During his stay at IHB, Prof. Edward Topp communicated with scholars and students of the Research Group of Algal Resources and Toxicology at IHB and had a deep communication with Prof Renhui LI who has been involved in phycological research and Associate Prof. Wei MIAO who has been involved in protozoology.
Prof. Topp has been at Southern Crop Protection and Food Research Centre for environmental microbiological research ever since 1989 and has served as adjunct professor at the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of Canadian Society of Microbiologists and Canadian Soil Science Society (CSSS) and a member of the editorial board of several international scientific magazines such as Applied and Environmental Microbiology etc. He has published nearly 100 papers in several internationally famous academic journals.
Invited by Prof. Lirong SONG of the Center for Water Environment and Human Health, Prof. Edward Topp from Southern Crop Protection and Food Research Centrevisited IHB from April 9th to 11th. Prof. Edward Topp made a presentation entitled “Assessing and managing the risk to water quality and agricultural livestock production”, systematically introducing the influence of agricultural and livestock wastes on water quality revealed by the research team in recent years.
