Prof. LI Renhui, principal investigator of the Research Group of Biology of Harmful Algae, Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB), was recently invited by Prof. Robert Anderson, the new editor-in-chief of the journal Phycologia from University of Washington, to serve as an  associate editor of Phycologia starting from January, 2012, for a term of three years.  

Prof. Li will take the responsibilities of inviting reviewers in the fields of harmful algae and algal toxins, editing the review comments, and give the recommendations to make decision on the papers reviewed.  

Phycologia is published bimonthly by the International Phycological Society and serves as a publishing medium for information about any aspect of phycology, basic or applied, including biochemistry, cell biology, developmental biology, ecology, evolution, genetics, molecular biology, physiology, and systematics. The IF of the journal in 2010 is 2.08.
