IHB Researchers Attend International Conference on Challenges in Aquatic Sciences

The International Conference on Challenges in Aquatic Sciences was held in Keelung, Taiwan, China from March 15 to 21, 2013. About 400 scholars and experts from over 20 countries and regions attended the conference. 8 researchers as well as students from Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) participated in this conference. 7 of them gave oral presentations while 1 presented poster.  

The International Conference on Challenges in aquatic Sciences was jointly sponsored by Taiwan Ocean University and Springer. 15 themes were featured in the conference, including sustainability in aquatic environment, aquatic biodiversity, eutrophication, flow regulation in rivers and natural flow paradigms, aquatic biogeography, impacts of climate change, effects of toxic blue greens on ecosystems, pelagic ecology, global warming and aquatic ecosystems, other important aquatic issues, etc. Attendees had extensive interaction on issues related to aquatic organisms and aquatic ecosystem.
