IHB Researchers Attend ISFNF2016

The International Symposium on Fish Nutrition and Feeding (ISFNF 2016) was taken place on June 5-10, 2016 in Sun Valley, Idaho.  More than 300 representatives from over 30 countries attended the symposium. Prof. XIE Shouqi and Dr. LIU Haokun from the Research Group of Fish Physiological Ecology at Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) were present at the symposium.    

Four keynote speeches as well as 80 oral presentations and 128 posters were made at the symposium. Themes featured fields including feed resources, nutritional modeling, nutritional physiology, practical application of nutrition research, nutrigenomics, nutrition and health, nutrition and product quality, nutritional requirements.    

One oral presentation and four posters were submitted to the organizing committee by the Research Group of Fish Physiological Ecology at IHB. Prof. XIE co-chaired the “Nutrition and Health” session with Dr. David Stone from Flinders University. The ISFNF was held every two year. The symposium included high quality contributions on key ‘themes’ that progressed the development of science in the nutrition and feeding of aquatic animals and that stimulated innovation in the world’s growing aquaculture industries.
