43 scholars from Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the International Society of Limnology XXXIV Congress (SIL 2018) which was held in Nanjing from August 19th to 24th, 2018. They gave presentations to share their recent research findings and discussed topics of mutual interests with other attendees.
The theme for this year’s congress was “Limnology, a science for the Preservation and Restoration of Aquatic Ecosystems.” The congress was jointly organized by Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology under Chinese Academy of Science, Soil Science Society of China and other units. It is the first time that the SIL has been held in China.
Nearly 600 delegates from about 100 countries participating in this congress, including the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Holland, Demark, Italy and New Zealand.
