Title: Invasion route and virulence of pine wood nematodes revealed by comparative genomics
Introduction to the Speaker:
Nansheng Chen is a Full Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University. He is also a CIHR New Investigator and a MSFHR Scholar. He obtained his B.Sc. from Fudan University, Ph.D. from the Institute of Oceanology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the University of Utah, University of British Columbia, and was a senior genome analyst at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. He has published more than 60 research articles in competitive journals including Genome Research, Genome Biology, PNAS, Science, Nature Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, and PLoS Computational Biology.
