The delegation led by REN Xiaobo, director of the Division of Resources and Environment of the Bureau of Major R&D Programs, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) on March 19, 2014. Several principal investigators who are undertaking the CAS Strategic Priority Research Program, National Water Special Program and major program of National Genetically Modified foundation also visited IHB.   

Prof. XU Xudong, deputy director of IHB, welcomed the visiting delegation and extended his sincere gratitude to the delegation for their support. Prof. HE Feng, head of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at IHB, introduced the institute’s status from the aspects of historic development, personnel construction, platform construction, major projects and S&T outcomes. He also introduced the institute’s implementation of the “One-Three-Five” Development Plan.    

The delegation led by REN Xiaobo, director of the Division of Resources and Environment of the Bureau of Major R&D Programs, CAS, visited the Museum for Aquatic Organisms.

The visiting delegation had an in-depth interaction with other attendees on the issues regarding the transferring of S&T achievements, serving the national strategic demands, effective ways to carry out the “One-Three-Five” Development Plan etc.    

The visiting delegation also visited the Museum for Aquatic Organisms, Freshwater Algae Culture Collection, China Zebrafish Resource Center and Analysis and Testing Center.
