An eight-member delegation led by mayor of Huanggang visits IHB, April 8, 2014.

An eight-member delegation led by Ms. CHEN Anli, mayor of Huanggang which is a major municipality in eastern Hubei province, paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences on April 8, 2014.    

Prof. ZHAO Jindong, director of IHB, gave a welcome speech. He said that IHB has established solid cooperative relationship with Huanggang in the fields of aquaculture and water environment treatment. During the seventh Five Year Plan, IHB and Huanggang jointly undertook the national S&T program “Synthetic biological pond technology and its application in the urban waste water treatment of Huangzhou district”. Besides, the allogynogenetic gibel carps “CAS Ⅲ" , bred by IHB scientists, have been extensively promoted in Huanggang.    

Ms. CHEN Anli, mayor of Huanggang, introduced the basic status of Huanggang with specific emphasis on the strategic demands of development construction of Huanggang.

Ms. Chen introduced the basic status of Huanggang with specific emphasis on the strategic demands of development construction of Huanggang. She hoped to seek more technical and personnel support from various sources so as to promote the industrialization of scientific achievements in Huanggang.    

Prof. HE Feng, head of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at IHB, introduced the research and technology strengths and the institute’s “One-Three-Five” development plan to the visiting delegation.    

Both sides later had in-depth interaction on the issues related to the future bilateral cooperation.
