4th Symposium on National Conventional Freshwater Fish Nutrition and Feed Held in Wuhan

 
The 4th Symposium on National Conventional Freshwater Fish Nutrition and Feed was held in Wuhan during April 9 and 11, 2014.

The 4th Symposium on National Conventional Freshwater Fish Nutrition and Feed was held in Wuhan during April 9 and 11, 2014. It was organized by the Division of Nutrition and Feed at National Technology System for Conventional Freshwater Fish Industries and Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB). 130 representatives from 15 provinces and cities attended this symposium.    

There were in total 4 keynote speeches and 40 oral presentations. IHB Prof. XIE Shouqi, Associate Prof. HAN Dong and Associate Prof. ZHU Xiaoming gave oral presentations with the titles of “Recent advances on feeding system studies in gibel carp”, “Research advances of nutrients requirements in gibel carp”, “Advances in research on regulation of flesh quality by nutritional strategies in gibel carp”, respectively. 10 IHB graduate students also reported their research progress at the symposium.    

The 4th Symposium on National Conventional Freshwater Fish Nutrition and Feed aims at promoting interaction among scholars with the National Technology System for Conventional Freshwater Fish Industries and accelerating studies of conventional freshwater fish nutrition and feed. IHB participated in organizing the symposium in 2011 (1st symposium) and 2014.
