Meeting on Compiling of “Long-term Positioning Observing Practices of Wetland Ecosystem” was held at IHB on July 15, 2014.
In order to promote the long-term observing practices of wetland ecosystem carried out at Water Sub-center of Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN), a meeting was held on July 15, 2014 to discuss the compiling of the “Long-term Positioning Observing Practices of Wetland Ecosystem”.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. XIE Ping, director of the Water Sub-center of CERN and leader of the Alliance of Field Stations of China Wetland Ecosystem Observation. At the meeting, Prof. CHEN Yuwei, director of Poyang Lake Wetland Research Station, and Prof. XIE Yonghong, director of Dongting Lake Wetland Ecosystem Research Station reported the compiling of the "Long-term positioning observing practices of Floodplain wetland ecosystem” (draft). Experts put forward their views from the need of research and long-term observations. All the participants fully discussed on key issues such as monitoring indicators and some other technical details.
