IHB Holds 5th Young Scientists Forum
The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. XIE Shouqi, deputy director of IHB
The 5th Young Scientists Forum was held at Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) on Jan.11, 2015. The theme of this forum was “life, health and environment”. 37 graduate students from different universities and institutions attended the forum.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. XIE Shouqi, deputy director of IHB. Prof. GE Feng from IHB gave a keynote presentation with the title of “Proteogenomics and its application in Cyanobacteria”.
The 37 contestants were divided into two groups and presented their progress in two different sessions. XING Qiong from Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, CAS and XIE Yan from Wuhan Botanical Garden were awarded the first prize at the forum.
The Young Scientists Forum is an annually held meeting which was launched and organized by IHB. It aims to strengthen academic exchanges, inspire innovative thinking and build up friendship and partnership between young scientists and students in Wuhan.
