WANG Enge, vice president of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) on May 7, 2015. LIN Mingjiong, deputy director general of the Bureau of Facility Support and Budget was in the delegation.    

The visiting delegation visited the Center for Microalgal Biotechnology and Biofuels, Museum for Aquatic Organisms, Analysis and Testing Center, China Zebrafish Resource Center and Freshwater Algae Culture Collection in the institute.   

Later a symposium was held. ZHAO Jindong, director of IHB, introduced the overview of IHB from the aspects of historic development, personnel structure, research outcome, platform construction, the implementation of the institute’s “One-Three-Five” development plan and the Initiative Plan. All the attendees discussed on the existing problems in the talent introduction, infrastructure construction and collaboration with local government and other institutions.
