CAS Vice President ZHANG Yaping Visits IHB
The delegation led by ZHANG Yaping, vice president of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), investigated Wuhan Contemporary Ecological Fisheries R&D Base which is under construction in Jiangxia District, Wuhan on May 13, 2015.
The delegation led by ZHANG Yaping, vice president of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) on May 13, 2015. During his visit, he investigated Wuhan Contemporary Ecological Fisheries R&D Base which is under construction in Jiangxia District, Wuhan. A symposium is held for the visiting delegation to learn about the platform construction progress and research requirements during the institute’s 13th Five Year Plan period.
At the symposium, IHB’s deputy director XIE Shouqi gave a presentation on the overview of IHB’s development plan in the research platform construction during the institute’s 13th Five Year Plan period. His presentation centered on the implementation of the institute’s “One-Three-Five” development plan and how IHB set itself up as an institute for special needs. Based on the current fishery resources and water environment development status, Xie stated the significance of the construction of new research platform at IHB.
ZHANG Yaping said that IHB shall make an overall plan on the construction of new research platform during the institute’s 13th Five Year Plan period. IHB shall direct its development under the guidance of its strategic positioning as an “institute for special needs” and also as clarified in the institute’s “One-Three-Five” development plan.
PAN Feng, deputy director general of the CAS Bureau of Facility Support and Budget was in the delegation.
