IHB's deputy director XIE Shouqi gave an annual work report at the 2015 Academic Assessment Symposium.

The 2015 Academic Assessment Symposium of Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) was held during Jan. 15 and 17, 2016. More than 80 people including directors, PIs, professors, administrative principals attended the symposium.    

At the symposium, two IHB's deputy directors XIE Shouqi and XU Xudong gave their work reports for 2015 respectively. Later, 56 PIs gave oral presentations to introduce their respective research progress and highlights over recent years.   

In his closing remarks, ZHAO Jindong, director of IHB, said that research shall be oriented with the requirements of the state. Scientists should broaden their horizons and do original innovative research. They should not only prove others’ conclusions.    

In the end, the assessment panel gave appraisal to each research group and professor.
