IHB Young Scientists Attend Launching Ceremony of Wuhan Branch of CAS Youth Innovation Promotion Association

 

The launching ceremony of Wuhan Branch of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was held on Jan. 19, 2016.

The launching ceremony of Wuhan Branch of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was held on Jan. 19, 2016. The first board members were elected. Dr. WANG Haijun, Associate Professor of Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) was elected as the president of Wuhan Branch of the Association.    

The ceremony consisted of an inter-institutional activity in which young scientists from different CAS institutes interacted with each other on issues of mutual interest. On behalf of IHB young scientists, the newly elected president Dr. WANG Haijun, introduced the overview of IHB to the attendees.    

CAS Youth Innovation Promotion Association was established in June 2011. It is aimed at organizing and combining the CAS young scientists together to broaden their academic horizon, promote interdisciplinary development and enhance research ability. By the end of 2015, the total members of CAS Youth Innovation Promotion Association reached 2,190. Ten IHB young scientists have been elected to the association.
