On March 15, the delegation led by ZHANG Min, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Jiangxia District in Wuhan, paid a visit to Wuhan Modern Ecological Fishery R&D Center.

On March 15, the delegation led by ZHANG Min, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Jiangxia District in Wuhan, paid a visit to Wuhan Modern Ecological Fishery R&D Center which is located in Jiangxia District.    

Prof. HU Zhengyu, deputy director of IHB, introduced the construction status of the R&D Center. He said that IHB has formed a connection with Liangzi Lake in Jiangxia for decades. Over the past 40 years, IHB has co-established research stations with the institutions in Jiangxia. These stations have made huge contribution to the ecological protection and fishery development of Liangzi Lake.    

Hu added that as the national team in freshwater aquaculture study and ecological environment protection, IHB will put the environment protection into perspective during the construction of the R&D Center. The Center will promote the social and economic development of Jiangxia and advance the life quality of Jiangxia people.    

Zhang Min said that Wuhan Modern Ecological Fishery R&D Center is part of the S&T program that aims at constructing agriculture parks in Wulijie County, Jiangxia. She hoped that the construction of the Center would be finished on time.
