IHB and HZAU Jointly Hold Aquatic Sciences Elite Class

 

On behalf of each institution, XIE Shouqi, deputy director of IHB and WANG WeImin, president of College of Fisheries at HZAU, signed a cooperation agreement.

After half a years negotiation and preparation, the Aquatic Sciences Elite Class which was jointly held by Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) and Huangzhong Agricultural University (HZAU) was launched at HZAU on April 7, 2016.    

On behalf of each institution, XIE Shouqi, deputy director of IHB and WANG WeImin, president of College of Fisheries at HZAU, signed a cooperation agreement. Xie said that IHB has had a long cooperative relationship with the College of Fisheries, HZAU. On the occasion of the opening of the Elite Class, IHB hoped to have a more comprehensive and in-depth cooperation with HZAU.    

ZHANG Shaodong, vice president of the College of Fisheries, HZAU, congratulated on the opening of the Elite Class. He hoped the Elite Class students could know their responsibilities and contribute their share in the field of aquatic sciences. Later, IHB Prof. YIN Zhan gave the first lecture with the title of Endocrine regulation of fish somatic growth for the students.    

The Aquatic Sciences Elite Class is a project supported by the College of Fisheries, HZAU and IHB to cultivate innovative talents in the field of aquatic sciences. It is aimed at promoting bilateral academic exchanges and cooperation between institutes and universities, exploring new ways to cultivate top innovative talents and thus cultivating excellent talents with broad world view and good practical ability. The Elite Class is a virtual class. Students who are studying under the HZAU talent cultivation project will also attend the science frontier lectures, research training classes and research practices organized by IHB. IHB has set up a scholarship for the class.  

 

 IHB Prof. YIN Zhan gave the first lecture with the title ofEndocrine regulation of fish somatic growthfor the students.
