Prof. YANG Yan’ou from Anhui Agricultural University paid a visit to IHB on April 14, 2016.

Prof. YANG Yan’ou from Anhui Agricultural University paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) on April 14, 2016. During his visit, he gave a lecture with the title of “Chinese Fish Culture”.    

Besides its long history and profound culture, Chinese fish culture can also be traced to the ancient time. In his lecture, Prof. Yang introduced Chinese fish culture from four aspects: evolution of fish culture, phenomenon of fish culture, fish culture presented in art and literature, fish culture in Chinese cuisines.   

Speaking of fish culture in Chinese cuisines, Prof. Yang introduced various delicious dishes made of fish across China. His vivid presentation aroused great interest among the audience.    

Towards the end of the lecture, Prof. Yang who was once a good baritone sang a famous Chinese song “Nothing is more beautiful than the splendor of sunset”. The lecture was finished with the beautiful voice of Prof. Yang and the joyful laughter of the audience.
