The 4th National Workshop on Zebrafish Technology was held at Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) during July 3 and 8, 2016.

The 4^th National Workshop on Zebrafish Technology, organized by China Zebrafish Resource Center (CZRC), was held at Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) during July 3 and 8, 2016. 20 participants coming from different places of China attended the workshop.  

The opening ceremony was chaired by Dr. PAN Luyuan from CZRC. Prof. SUN Yonghua, director of CZRC, gave a welcome speech and introduced the current status and development goals of the center.     

The five-day workshop included zebrafish breeding and husbandry, contruction of a zebrafish facility, early zebrafish development, whole-mount in situ hybridization, zebrafish genotyping, common disease of zebrafish and microinjection in zebrafish embryos.  

The courses put equal emphasis on the theoretic and technical objectives. The trainers explained and demonstrated the technical theories and experimental operations to the trainees. Combining lectures and laboratory exercise, the workshop helped the trainees get a full picture of zebrafish research, and conventional laboratory techniques.
