A delegation led by Mr. PAN Biling, vice director general of Hunan Environmental Protection Department, paid a visit to IHB on April 6, 2017.

A delegation led by Mr. PAN Biling, vice director general of Hunan Environmental Protection Department, paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) on April 6, 2017.    

Prof. XU Xudong, vice director of IHB, welcomed the visiting delegation. Prof. HE Feng, head of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at IHB, introduced the overview of IHB to the visiting delegation. In response to the demands in ecological restoration and water bodies purification of Hunan Province, IHB professors introduced their progress made in the pollution control, ecological restoration and purification techniques of lake reservoir regions. Both sides exchanged views on water ecological environment protection and restoration, hot to increase the sustained growth of people’s income, and growing of aquatic plants.    

Mr. PAN Biling positively commented on the achievements that IHB had made in water environment protection and hoped that both sides could have further discussion on the water environment issues in Hunan and carry out some feasible cooperation.    

Later, the delegation led by Mr. Pan visited the Museum for Aquatic Organisms and interacted with the staff on the conservation of aquatic animals.
