The 2017 Academic Committee Meeting of IHB was held on May 4, 2017.

The 2017 Academic Committee Meeting of Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) was held on May 4, 2017. 14 members attended the meeting which was chaired by Prof. CHEN Yiyu, director of the academic committee.    

The meeting discussed the qualification for the shift of position and the quota for professorships at IHB. The issues regarding the ecological restoration and protection of Baiyangdian in Xiongan New Area was also discussed at the meeting. Attendees said that IHB shall seize the opportunity and give full play to its disciplinary strengths so as to obtain the state’s support and start the background investigation of the ecosystem in Baiyangdian.  

Attendees also discussed issues related to the ecosystem of the Yangtze River Basin.
