IHB Participates in 2017 National Science Week
The 2017 Hubei Science Week was launched at Wuhan Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)
on May 19, 2017.
The 2017 Hubei Science Week was launched at Wuhan Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on May 19, 2017. The theme of this year’s science week was “making China powerful through science and technology, making dreams come true through science innovation”. At the opening ceremony, universities and CAS institutes in Wuhan, as well as several S&T enterprises exhibited their research achievements.
Based on its academic strengths, IHB displayed its research achievements by posters and brochures. IHB scientists also exhibited the allogynogenetic gibel carp “CAS Ⅲ" which drew broad public interest.
The science week lasted from May 20 to 27, 2017. During the week, state key laboratories and museums of CAS institutes in Wuhan opened to the public for free. IHB opened its Museum for Aquatic Organisms, State Key Laboratory of Freshwater Ecology and Biotechnology, Baiji Dolphinarium, and Donghu Lake Ecosystem Experimental Station. IHB scientists also gave science lectures to the public.
