Member of CPC Wuhan Standing Committee Visits IHB

A four-member delegation led by LI Youxiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Wuhan, paid a visit to IHB on August 18, 2017.

A four-member delegation led by LI Youxiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Wuhan, paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on August 18, 2017. FANG Jie, director general and WEI Sen, deputy director general of Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Financial Work, were in the delegation.    

The visiting delegation visited the Museum for Aquatic Organisms and China Zebrafish Resource Center and positively commented on the achievements IHB had made in the popularization of scientific knowledge.    

At the seminar arranged for this visit, IHB Prof. HE Feng, head of Research and Sponsored Programs, introduced the overview of the institute. IHB’s deputy director Prof. XU Xudong promoted the scientific achievements to the delegation. FANG Jie, director general of Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Financial Work, said that the Bureau would like to support IHB’s transformation of scientific achievements. 
  

In his closing remarks, LI Youxiang said that Wuhan municipal government fully supported the transformation of scientific achievements generated by institutes and universities in Wuhan. IHB’s prominent academic strengths could motivate the initiatives of researchers and thus make contribution to the social and economic development of Wuhan.
