2017 Annual Workshop on Aquatic Biomonitoring Held at IHB
Theoretical course
The workshop on aquatic biomonitoring was held at Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on September 20-22, 2017. Over 60 researchers, technicians and students from different universities, institutes, corporations and environmental agencies attended the workshop.
The workshop included planktonic classification and identification, phytoplanktonic sampling and analyses, algal isolation and culture, ect. The workshop was designed for participants interested in the comprehensive overview and practical application of phytoplanktonic biomonitoring. Participants were encouraged to ask questions, share information and network. Printed and electronic materials and a certificate of completion were provided.
The workshop was undertaken by the Freshwater Algae Culture Collection at the Institute of Hydrobiology (FACHB), and supported by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The workshop has been held at IHB for 10 times since 2012.
