A delegation led by HUANG Tieqin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Major Research and Development Programs under Chinese Academy of Sciences, paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on January 5, 2018. 15 experts from IHB attended the seminar arranged for this visit.    

HU Zhengyu, deputy director of IHB, welcomed the visiting delegation. HE Feng, director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at IHB, introduced the institute’s overview and historic development. He also mentioned the progress IHB had made in the implementation of the institute “One-Three-Five” development plan. Prof. ZHOU Li introduced the on-going projects supported by the CAS Strategic Priority Research Program (A). The participants also put forth their suggestions on the establishment of fish breeding center and seed innovation academy.    

HUANG Tieqing said in his conclusion remarks that IHB shall put more efforts in obtaining national research tasks in line with its unique academic strengths. He said the Bureau of Major R&D Programs could provide support for IHB in obtaining projects by strengthening communication with local administrative departments.
