Prof. Qunsheng Lin from City University of Hong Kong paid a visit to IHB on March 3, 2019.
Prof. Qunsheng Lin from City University of Hong Kong paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on March 3, 2019. During his visit, he gave an oral presentation with the title of "Environmental fate and risks of emerging chemicals of concern in coastal region of south China ".
In his presentation, Prof. Lin described the distribution and transfer of several new pollutants in the environment, and introduced their environmental behavior and fate from various aspects such as seasons, locations, and species. Through long-term field large-scale field investigations and research, Prof. Lin systematically analyzed the risks of emerging pollutants in the environment, and pointed out some difficulties encountered in the research of emerging pollutants around the world.
Prof. Lin has long been engaged in the study of ecotoxicology, environmental analytical chemistry, and environmental risk assessment. He published more than 360 academic papers and his papers were cited by SCI papers for more than 13,000 times. He is a vice president of City University of Hong Kong and director of the State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution and the Marine and Human Research Center of the Shenzhen Research Institute of City University of Hong Kong.
Prof. Lin served as deputy editor of the academic journal Chemosphere, and served as deputy editor of the Journal of Energy Science and Environmental Science & Technology. He has participated in more than 30 government consultancy research projects in environmental ecology.
