The signing ceremony of the co-construction of the Fishery Research Center for Ecological Water Purification of Large Water Surface was held in Wuhan on July 2, 2019. 

The signing ceremony of the co-construction of the Fishery Research Center for Ecological Water Purification of Large Water Surface was held in Wuhan on July 2, 2019. This center will be co-constructed by Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chun’an county government and Hangzhou Qiandao Lake Development Group Co., Ltd.   

The newly established center will be located in Chun’an county, Hangzhou. On behalf of both sides, IHB’s deputy director YIN Zhan and HE Guangxi, general manager of Hangzhou Qiandao Lake Development Group Co., Ltd singed the co-construction agreement.    

Based on the environmental characteristics of the Qiandao Lake, the Center will serve the needs of the fishery development of the ecological water purification of large water surface, carry out key technological breakthroughs, model optimization and application promotion, conduct research on large water areas fishery, water environment regulation and ecological construction, thus provide scientific support for the protection of large water surface ecological environment and fishery sustainable development.
