A five-member delegation led by SUN Zhiyu, deputy general manager of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTGC), paid a visit to Institute of hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on September 12, 2019.    

IHB’s deputy director Prof. YIN Zhan introduced the institute’s historical development, its studies on aquatic resources and conservation and on the green development models of freshwater aquaculture, as well as the construction of the collaborative innovation R&D Platforms.    

Participants had in-depth exchange of views on the treatment of water environment pollution in the Yangzte River, protection of water ecology of the Yangtze, conservation of endangered aquatic animals in the Yangtze etc.    

In his closing remarks, Sun said that CTGC would further strengthen the cooperation with IHB in the ecological monitoring of the Three Gorges Reservoir, the protection of Chishui River and the joint construction of ecological experimental station, and ecological restoration of lakes in Wuhan.    

YIN Zhan hoped both sides give full play to its strengths and joint hands to support the Yangtze River Protection Plan.
