The Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) conducted a safety training and fire drill on April 20, 2023 to enhance the safety awareness, improve safety prevention skills, and raise the safety level among its faculty and students.    

Considering the recent increase in fire incidents, LIANG Qiong, deputy director of IHB, emphasized the importance of safety, urging everyone to have a sense of responsibility and ensure that all safety measures are implemented.   

Staff from the Assets and Facilities Management conducted training sessions on laboratory safety and network security. A fire instructor delivered a lecture on fire safety knowledge and led the participants in fire extinguishing and evacuation drills.
