On August 7, 2024, XIE Shouqi, deputy director of the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with heads of relevant administration offices, visited the main campus, Guanqiao campus, and Liangzihu campus to provide relief supplies to property staff and construction workers enduring the extreme heat.
In response to multiple high-temperature warnings issued in Wuhan, construction continues on several important projects at IHB, including the 3H Graduate and Postdoctoral Apartment Renovation Project, the "14th Five-Year Plan" Science and Education Infrastructure Water Ecology Comprehensive Assessment Platform, and the Liangzihu Campus Infrastructure Improvement Project under the Research Conditions Improvement Program. Despite the challenging conditions, property and construction staff have remained dedicated to their work.
