The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Wuhan Branch conducted an on-site inspection and acceptance review for the 2024 infrastructure renovation project at the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on May 22, 2024. IHB deputy director XIE Shouqi and representatives from the administration and finance offices attended the review.

The evaluation team examined the "Phase I Infrastructure Renovation Project for the Algae Research Base at Liangzihu Campus," reviewing project management reports, financial settlement documents, completion acceptance materials, construction quality at the site.

After thorough assessment, the team confirmed the project fulfilled all requirements and approved its completion.

Initiated in June 2024 and finished in November 2024, the renovation addressed critical issues including: damaged algae greenhouses, aging electrical wiring, water leakage problems, safety hazards in experimental fish ponds and access roads.

The upgrades also enhanced street lighting systems and network infrastructure.

These improvements have significantly upgraded research conditions at the Liangzihu campus, achieving all renovation objectives.
