On 5 August, 2026, IHB deputy director XIE Shouqi led a team to the Main Campus, Guanqiao Campus, Liangzi Lake Campus, and Hanyang vessel team, where they toured ongoing projects and distributed heat-relief supplies to workers on site.

XIE inspected project progress and discussed operational challenges with staff. He urged campus managers to adjust work schedules to avoid the hottest hours and reminded all personnel to prioritize safety, stay hydrated, and maintain steady operations despite the extreme conditions.
