General Introduction:
The Research Group of Water Environmental Chemistry and Pollution Control focuses on the water environmental issues, with the main research directions on water environmental chemistry, geochemical processes of pollutants and remediation of polluted sediments. It is currently undertaking a number of projects supported by the National Water Pollution Control and Treatment Science and Technology Major Project of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the local collaborative project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and projects commissioned with other provinces, cities, and enterprises. Current research interests: * Mechanisms of the migration and transformation of phosphorus in lake sediments and the construction of an evaluation system of the internal phosphorus pollution * Engineering technology of the in-situ remediation of polluted sediments * Dynamic changes of nutrients in rice paddy soils under the integrated rice-crayfish culture system and the development of water quality controlling technology in rice paddy fields * Mechanisms of nutrient emission in agricultural watersheds.
