The Chinese Protozoological Society is a branch of the China Zoological Society. It was established in May 1981 and is affiliated with the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, with its office located at No. 7 Donghu South Road, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. 

In August 2025, the 12th General Assembly of Members was held, at which the 12th Council was elected. MIAO Wei was elected President, ZHANG Longxian was re-elected Vice President, and SONG Weibo was elected Honorary President.
