Resume:

Prof. Dr. Yonghong Bi was born in 1974, Principal investigator of algal ecology, and director of the Sixth Research Center; The head of Xiangxi River ecological investigation Station, the key tributary of the Three Gorges Ecological and Environmental Monitoring System; The executive head of the Three Gorges Reservoir Ecosystem Monitoring Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the deputy secretary of Chinese Society for Phycology, the executive director of the Lake Branch of the Chinese Ocean and Limnology Society, the member of Biological Food Committee of the Chinese Fisheries Society, the member of the Ecological and Hydraulic Engineering Committee of the Chinese Water Conservancy Society, and the technical expert for Chinese patent examination of the National Intellectual Property Administration; Editorial board members of domestic and foreign journals such as Acta Hydrobiologica Sinica, Journal of Lake Science, Chinese Journal of Ecology, Water biology & security, Frontiers, Water, Scientific Reports, Vegetas, etc.

From 2009 to 2010, conducted collaborative research on the Yangtze Project (BMBF, 02WT1130) as a visiting scholar at the German Environmental Health Research Center.  

The main major are freshwater ecology, algal ecology, and water pollution bioremediation. More than 40 projects have been finished and published over 160 papers, including 70 SCI papers. Obtained 13 national authorized invention patents, published 1 monograph, and participated in 3 monographs.
