Delegation of Oita National College of Technology Visits IHB
Accompanied by staff members from Wuhan International Liaison Department, a three-member delegation of Oita National College of Technology headed by Professor Tatsumi Kameno visited our institute, December 16th, 2008.
IHB's Deputy Director Prof. Xudong XU, together with experts on water environment, including Prof. Zhenbin WU, Prof. Lirong SONG, and Prof. Leyi NI warmly welcomed the Japanese guests and made an introduction to the relevant researches conducted at IHB.
The two sides had a cordial discussion on issues of common interest. The Japanese guests expressed the hope of strengthening exchanges with our institute on water environment project and ecology. They sincerely invited the experts of our institute to take part in the China-Japan Joint Forum on Water Environment held next year in Oita.
Oita established a sister-state relationship with Wuhan in 1979. Next year will be the 30th anniversary of the establishment of sister-state relationship between Oita and Wuhan, thus a series of celebration activities will be launched by both government and civilian groups. Oita National College of Technology is scheduled to hold a series of activities, including China-Japan Joint Forum on Water Environment on October 9th, 2009 in Oita.
