Several IHB Scholars Take Part in Writing International Academic Monographs
As the international scientific cooperation increases in China, more and more Chinese scholars take part in writing international academic monographs, showing that China’s scientific achievements have gained worldwide approbation. Recent years, several IHB scholars take part in writing international academic monographs.
In 2003, Prof. Zuoyan ZHU and Dr. Yonghua SUN were invited to contribute to the book Aquaculture: Retrospective and Outlook, an Aquaculture Summit, which was jointly published by Asian Fisheries Society and World Aquaculture Society. As claimed by the publishers, this book serves as a repository of the experiences of the most important individuals who were involved in the world’s aquaculture development over the past 30 years. Prof. Zhu and Dr. Sun contributed one chapter, Producing Transgenic Fish for Aquaculture, for the book.
In 2005, Prof. Lirong SONG and Dr. Nanqin GAN were invited to contribute one chapter for the book Algal Culture Collections and the Environment concerning with toxic cyanobacterial bloom in Chinese eutrophied lakes and the composition of microcystins.
In 2006, Dr. Yibing ZHANG and Prof. Jianfang GUI were invited to contribute one chapter for the book Focus on Immunology Research which systematically introduces the research of fish interferon system.
In 2008, Prof. Xudong XU, together with two American scholars contributed one chapter for the cyanobacterial monograph The Cyanobacteria: Molecular Biology, Genomics and Evolution, centering onthe transcriptional and developmental responses by anabaena to deprivation of fixed nitrogen.
In 2009, Prof. Shunping HE contributed some chapters relating to Teleostei Phylogenetic research.
