Associate Professor of University of Adelaide Visits IHB
Associate Prof. Friedrich Recknagel from University of Adelaide paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) on Dec. 19.
On December 19, Associate Prof. Friedrich Recknagel from University of Adelaide paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) and delivered a lecture entitled “Applications of nonlinear inductive modeling for operational forecasting and causal analysis in aquatic ecosystems” for the audience.
Prof. Recknagel reviewed the development of numerical models. He introduced the hybrid evolutionary algorithm (HEA) which was developed by his project team and explained its application in forecasting aquatic ecosystems. Since 2005, Prof. Recknagel has been served as the editor-in-chief of the journal Ecological Informatics.
On Dec. 20, Prof. Friedrich Recknagel negotiated with IHB Profs. SONG Lirong, CAI Qinghua and WANG Hongzhu on the cooperative plans in freshwater ecology of China and Australia.
