Russian Professional Tennis Player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova Visits Baiji Dolphinarium


Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Russian professional tennis player and a multiple junior grand slam champion, visited the Baiji Dolphinarium at IHB, on Sept. 26, 2015.
 

During her attending the 2015 Wuhan Open on Sept. 26, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Russian professional tennis player and a multiple junior grand slam champion, visited the Baiji Dolphinarium of Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB). 

Her visit was to attend the activity of “Care for Yangtze finless porpoises which was held at the Baiji Dolphinarium. She visited the Yangtze finless porpoise in captivity and joined the daily training of the porpoise. She also signed her name on the porpoise souvenirs and posed with the staff and volunteers for photos. She appealed to the public to show more concern for the endangered Yangtze finless porpoises.

IHB Prof. WANG Ding (L) introduced the study and conservation of the Yangtze finless porpoises. Prof. ZHAO Jindong (3rd L), director of IHB, presented a gift to Pavlyuchenkova.
