IHB Seeks Cooperation with Enterprises in Wuhan Airport Economic Zone

 

On behalf of IHB, Prof. XIE Shouqi, deputy director of IHB, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Wuhan Agriculture Group.   

Led by Prof. XIE Shouqi, deputy director of Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), eight IHB scientists attended a promoting activity held in Wuhan Airport Economic Zone on January 30, 2018 to seek cooperation with the enterprises in the zone.   

On behalf of IHB, Prof. Xie signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Wuhan Agriculture Group based on which an all-round bilateral cooperation would be conducted in freshwater fishery engineering technology, larvae culture, fishery breeding pattern, algal bioresources utilization.    

Prof. HE Feng, director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at IHB, introduced IHB’s technological strengths and research achievements. Prof. LIU Jiashou, deputy director of National Research Center for Freshwater Fisheries Engineering (Wuhan), introduced the R&D platform and achievements in freshwater fishery technology at IHB. The achievements transformation of two IHB research achievements “Large scale larvae propagation and culture technology of Odontobutis obscura” and “Key technology development and promotion of water pollution treatment and ecological engineering of water bodies restoration” reached cooperation intentions with enterprises and had signed agreements. 
  

This promoting activity was organized by Wuhan S&T Achievements Transformation Bureau, Wuhan Science and Technology Bureau and Administration Committee of Wuhan Airport Economic Zone. 72 CAS research achievements were presented to seek cooperation with hundreds of enterprises in the economic zone.
