A group photo of IHB professors and the visiting guests 

Professor XIANG Jianhai from Institute of Oceanology, CAS, together with Professor SUI Liying, vice-dean of the College of Oceanography and Environment at Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and XU Shengyu, chairman of Hebei Xinhai Seawater Biotechnology Co., Ltd, paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on December 21, 2018. During their visit, they gave a series of lectures for IHB researchers and students.   

Prof. Xiang expounded the application of the genomics on research by stating the regeneration function of sea cucumber, the prawns’ optical adaption to benthic life, the regulation mechanism of prawn molting and other examples.    

Prof. Sui introduced the history and present situation of the development of artemia resources，its application in aquaculture, corresponding key process and technology.    

Xu Shengyu gave an overview of Hebei Xinhai Seawater Biotechnology Co., Ltd and shared her experience on prawns’ breeding and propagation.
