The symposium with the title of “Our 20 Years Research in Lake Dianchi: Review and Prospect of Dianchi Water Environment Treatment and Ecological Restoration” was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province during August 3 and 6, 2019. The symposium was organized by Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dianchi Academy of Plateau Lake in Kunming.
The treatment of Lake Dianchi has been carried out for 20 years since IHB Prof. LIU Yongding hosted China’s first ecological environment protection and water pollution treatment project entitled “cyanobacterial blooms control technology in Lake Dianchi”.
More than 150 scholars and principals from 35 institutions and universities attended the symposium. Most of them were once engaged in the frontline of the Lake Dianchi Treatment.
The attendees reviewed the achievements over the past two decades in the treatment of Lake Dianchi and looked forward to the prospect of the water environment treatment and ecological restoration of Lake Dianchi.
