The plaque for “Gansu Joint Innovation Laboratory of Fish Resources Center” was revealed. 

Institute of Hydrobiolog (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly held a symposium on scientific cooperation in Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture during August 12 and 13, 2019.    

At the symposium, SHI Baizhan, director general of the Gansu Bureau of Science and Technology, introduced the scientific development status of Gansu province. “Science and technology are not closely integrated with economic development.” said Shi, “We need more support and concerns from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other research institutions. Over the past years, IHB has conducted an all-round cooperation with our institute. Prof. GUI Jianfang set up an academician work station in Jingtai county, we hoped that IHB can go on to support the fishery development in Gansu.”   

IHB Prof. GUI Jianfang (CAS academician) and IHB’s deputy director HU Wei gave suggestions on the studies on salmon genetic breeding and fishery resources protection.    

Attendees said that they would take advantage of this symposium to further widen the cooperation fields with Gansu in scientific research.    

Later, Prof. Gui and SHI Baizhan revealed the plaque for “Gansu Joint Innovation Laboratory of Fish Resources Center”.
