Yangtze Exhibit Opens at Museum of Hydrobiological Sciences

The Museum of Hydrobiological Sciences, affiliated to Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences, opened a new section to showcase the collected species, calligraphy and drawings related to the Yangtze River.

In the newly opened exhibit, several exhibition areas were set up. These include “Prof. CAO Wenxuan and Initiative of Banned Fishing in the Yangtze River”, "Qi-Qi, the Baiji Dolphin”, "Fishes in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau”, "Endangered Species in the Yangtze River” and "Aquatic Plants”.

The exhibit arranged a special section for the display of "Arts of Fishing Culture", which intertwines science and culture.

The Yangtze exhibit was designed in the context of great protection of the Yangtze River and appealed for the restoration the ecosystem of the Yangtze.
