A series of lecture will take place to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Through October, IHB will hold lectures on topics of water, fishery and algae which are three major research directions of the institute.

Prestigious scientists and scholars will be invited to give lectures, and interact with IHB faculty and students.The first two lectures of this series took place on July 28 and 30 respectively.

The two speakers were Prof. WANG Yanxin (CAS member), an eminent groundwater researcher and applied hydrogeologist, president of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Prof. ZHOU Zhonghe (CAS member), a paleontologist from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology (IVPP) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
