Prof. JIANG Guibin Joins IHB 90th Anniversary Lecture Series

The 90th Anniversary Lecture Series of Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences is going on with the fourth speaker Prof. JIANG Guibin’s keynote presentation on theories and approaches to discover new organic pollutants on September 15.   

Prof. Jiang systematically discussed the relations between environment pollution and human health and diseases.    

He particularly elucidated the theories and approaches to discover new organic pollutants and visioned the prospect of the field.    

Prof. Jiang was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2009), and a fellow of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS, 2012). He’s now working at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences under Chinese Academy of Sciences.    

His research mainly focuses on environmental chemistry and toxicology. He has published over 700 articles in leading scientific journals and is the author of 15 scientific books.    

As an invited plenary or keynote speaker, he has presented at more than 600 international meetings, institutes and universities. He is a three-time recipient of the Chinese National Natural Science Award.    

Prof. Jiang is the former Deputy-Director and Director-General of RCEES (2001-2017).  He is currently an Associate Editor for Environmental Science and Technology (ES&T, 2006-).
