The delegation led by SU Yang, deputy director of Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on October 28 to strengthen bilateral ties.

“As one of the first 15 institutes set up by the CAS, IHB has a long history and has never changed its aspiration,” Su said. “I feel the profound cultural foundation of the institute. It is studded with a trove of achievements.”

Su’s visit aimed to strengthen the collaboration between the administrative staff of both sides.

“The administration level directly affects the level of research. We thus need to break the mindset barriers and explore new and more efficient ways to facilitate research.” Su added.

Administrative staff from both sides discussed issues on personnel, education, platform, evaluation system, cafeteria and among others.

Accompanied by IHB’s deputy director XIE Shouqi, the delegation visited the Historical Development Museum of the institute, photo exhibition commemorating the 90th anniversary of IHB and some research platforms.
