YIN Hejun, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences during March 30 and April 1, 2021.   

During his stay in the institute, he learned about the figures and facts of the 90 years development of the institute, the construction of research platforms and the transformation of achievements in various ways.   

Learning that some achievements produced by the Center for Microalgal Biotechnology and Biofuels had been transferred and applied in the field of human health and animal nutrition, Yin said that IHB shall further promote the industrial process of microalgal biofuels in China so as to meet the strategic developments needs of the country.    

Yin also visited the Historical Development Museum of the institute, the China Zebrafish Resources Center, Freshwater Algae Culture Collection, and Museum of Hydrobiological Sciences.
