The Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences achieved 8^th excellent rating in the appraisal of the open sharing of large-scale research equipment and facilities among the 346 participating units in the country, according to the announcement issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance.    

The objective data and operational efficiency of the large-scale research equipment and facilities in universities and institutes were evaluated through expert consultation and on-site verification. Post-subsidy funds will be awarded to units with excellent and good assessment results.    

The institute’s Analysis and Testing Center has implemented a variety of measures, including optimizing the technical team, improving the technical system, and strengthening the scientific support, to ensure the operation and open sharing of the equipment and facilities it boasts.   

IHB has sets its 14^th five-year development plan for the Analysis and Testing Center. It will place high priority on sharing of large-scale equipment and facilities, strengthening the overall research planning and purchasing process, improving management and service levels, and developing a first-class professional technical support team.
