A delegation led by WANG Zhonglin, Governor of Hubei Province, visited the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on March 23, 2022.    

During his visit to the Museum of Historical Development and the Museum of Hydrobiological Sciences, Wang fully affirmed the institute's active participation in Yangtze River protection, aquatic life protection, and water ecology protection.   

He sought to use the advantages of scientific research to strengthen the study of Hubei's unique fish biological resources, promote the development of freshwater fisheries in Hubei; to increase public awareness about the environmental and ecological significance of the Yangtze River, and to build an atmosphere of collaborative protection.
